Baked Penne with Bison Hot Italian Sausage

Hot Italian Bison Sausages (1 lb. package) Price: $9.00

• 1(12oz.) pkg. penne pasta
• 1 lb. Bison Hot Italian Sausage, sliced
• 1 c. chopped onion
• ½ c. white wine
• 2 tsp. olive oil
• 1(15oz.) can tomato sauce
• 1(14.5oz.) can diced tomatoes with garlic
• 1(6oz.) can tomato paste
• 2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cook pasta 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. Place sausage, onion and olive oil in a deep skillet. Cook over medium heat until evenly browned. Pour in white wine, and cook for 1 minute, stirring to deglaze pan. Stir in tomato sauce and tomato paste. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Toss with cooked pasta, and place in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle top with cheese. Bake for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Serves 6.
